2. Headquarters House

Now serving as the headquarters for the Washington County Historical Society, the house has been preserved as a museum of the period, and offers group and individual tours.
Originally located on South College Street, the Archibald Yell Law Office, workplace of the second state governor of Arkansas, has been moved onto the grounds. There are also beautifully maintained gardens and a brick smokehouse to view as you tour the site.

3. Shiloh Museum of Ozark History

Located in Springdale, this museum takes its name from the pioneer community in the area and charts the development of the nearby towns and settlements. With six historical buildings on site and over 500,000 photographs, as well as fascinating artifacts and exhibits, the museum offers interactive opportunities to learn about the history of the area, from its pre-settlement days to modern times.

4. Arkansas Air and Military Museum

Housed in a vast wooden white hangar, this museum is a must-see for aviation buffs. With many examples of historic aircraft, including Vietnam-era helicopters and a Navy carrier fighter, as well as military vehicles, it’s an opportunity to get an up-close look at genuine military equipment.
