Take the Car and Discover the 3 Best Views Near Fayetteville, AR
1. Lake Elmdale
Arkansas has some beautiful lakes and rivers. This lake is a quiet, serene place to unwind after a long day at work or school, with the sounds of frogs in the background to keep you company. Fishing is welcomed, and you might hook yourself a bass, crappie, or catfish! Make sure to visit around sunset to watch incredible colors spread across the water. Pop the trunk of your 2023 Kia Sportage LX, grab a blanket, lean back, and enjoy the view.
2. Lake Sequoyah Park
You might be seeing a trend here – but don’t worry, this one involves a little bit of hiking. The lake itself is actually more land than water, at 1400 acres and 389 acres respectively. If you’re nearby in the fall, you’re in for an incredible sight as the leaves begin to change all around the water’s edge.
We recommend checking out the Shoreline Trail, which is roughly 2 miles in length and a complete loop, so you don’t have to worry about backtracking. As an extremely level trail Shoreline is well-traveled by people and horses, so make sure you watch where you step! You’ll know you’re on the right path with the red trail markers to guide your way.
3. Botanical Garden of the Ozarks
This incredible garden draws over 70,000 visitors each year, so you know it’ll be worth the stop. Comprised of 12 different themed gardens, they hold multiple education programs for adults in horticulture, conservation, and the different garden themes. Here you’ll also find the area’s only native butterfly house.
Adults aren’t the only ones who get to play in the flowers. The garden works with local school districts to encourage kids of all ages to learn more about nature in a hands-on fashion. Unlike above, this view does have an entrance fee of $10 for adults and $5 for children.
