Redline Reviews
Sofyan Bey, host of the Redline Reviews YouTube channel, recently showcased the 2025 Kia K5 at the Chicago Auto Show. He explained the car’s engine options, quickly pointing out that the new model is more powerful than its predecessor. The base model features a 2.5-liter engine that produces 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque.
“This makes it one of the quickest family sedans you can buy and really gives it an edge over the competition,” said Bey.
Bey closed the hood and discussed the car’s updated front end with a new LED light signature.
“Compared to the new Sonata, which also got a refresh in 2024, I personally think the K5 is the better-looking car,” said Bey.
Bey noted some of his favorite features in the 2025 K5 in his conclusion.
“It’s clear that Kia has made some pretty key upgrades here,” said Bey. “I like some of the upgrades that Kia has made to the interior, especially with the software- it finally gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.”

Raiti’s Rides
At the Chicago Auto Show, Joe Raiti of the YouTube channel Raiti’s Rides also had an early chance to check out the 2025 Kia K5. He shared his thoughts on the car’s latest features, technology updates, and overall feel. Joe pointed out the car’s unique body lines that create “U” shapes at both the front and rear. He also mentioned improvements to the iconic tiger nose grille, the fog lights, and the tires.
“Look at the way they did that lighting,” said Raiti. “I like how they kind of smoke the lenses a little bit, a little dark tinge.”
He then moved inside the car, praising its design, comfort, and technology. He highlighted that the K5 now comes with two 12.3-inch screens, one for the dashboard and the other for the infotainment system. Right under the main screen, he showed the controls for the car’s temperature settings, including options for dual-zone climate control and heating and cooling for the seats. He also mentioned how comfortable and good-looking the seats are.
“New for 2025 is that neon yellow highlighter stitching,” said Raiti. “Seats- love the material. The stitching is consistent even in the center here.”
Raiti then demonstrated how to adjust the seats using the K5’s power controls, noting that it has settings to remember two different seating positions.
“The seats do a great job in comfort but also support,” said Raiti. “Even with the panoramic roof, I’m not even close to the headliner.”
Although Raiti hasn’t driven it yet, he intends to test drive the updated Kia K5 very soon.
